What better way to celebrate summer than with a refreshing Prosecco Julep cocktail? This prosecco cocktail is perfect for parties or just to sip on and cool off on a hot summer day. Enjoy a Prosecco Julep by the pool or in your backyard with friends and family. Cheers!Serves: 4
- 5 fresh mint sprigs + extra for garnish
- 1 cup mint simple syrup (recipe for syrup below)
- 1 cup Scotch Whiskey – we used McIvor Blended Scotch Whiskey
- 1 bottle Tiziano Prosecco
Mint Simple Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup packed fresh mint leaves
First make the Mint Simple Syrup. In a small saucepan, combine the water, sugar and mint leaves over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes (stirring occasionally). Once the sugar has dissolved remove pan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool for 20 minutes. Strain before using.
Once the Mint Simple Syrup cools, fill a pitcher with ice. Mix together the Mint Simple Syrup, whiskey, and 5 mint sprigs. Slowly pour in Tiziano Prosecco and stir. Pour into glasses and garnish with extra mint sprigs. Enjoy!
